When I make these shortbread cookies there gone as soon as they've cooled down! Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/3 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
3/4 cup quick cooking oates |
1 cup maple syrup |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour and sugar; cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Press into an 8-inch square baking pan. 2. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes. 3. Combine quick cooking oats, syrup, and salt in a small saucepan. 4. Cook, stirring frequently, until oats have absorbed most of the syrup, about 5 minutes. Spread over warm crumb crust mixture and return to the oven for 10 minutes longer. Cut into squares while warm. Makes about 16 squares. |
