This recipe is simple yet wonderful. I've made this for fish haters who ended up loving the dish. Ingredients:
3/4 cup maple syrup |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin removed |
1/4 cup fresh coarse ground black pepper |
1/2 teaspoon peanut oil |
Directions:
1. In a deep bowl, mix maple syrup and soy sauce. 2. Arrange fillets so that marinade completely covers fish. 3. Marinate in the refrigerator for as long possible (ideally 24 hours). 4. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F. 5. Rub oil on a 10 by 10-inch sheet of aluminum foil. 6. Place pepper on a small plate. 7. Remove salmon from marinade and pat topside only into cracked pepper to coat. 8. Place fillets, pepper side up, on foil. 9. Bake on the top rack of the oven for approximately 7 minutes. |
