Maple-poached Eggs On Toast

One of my favourite sweet Saturday morning type of breakfasts!
Ingredients:
4 eggs
2 cups maple syrup
4 slices thick-cut cinnamon-raisin bread, toasted
Directions:
1. Pour maple syrup into a pot and bring to a boil.
2. Reduce to a brisk simmer, break in eggs one by one.
3. Cook thoroughly, serve one egg over each slice toast.
4. Drizzle with a few teaspoons of the syrup, reserve the rest of the syrup for another use.
