Maple Pecan Bread Pudding Ingredients:
4 cups bread, diced |
4 eggs, beaten lightly |
2 cups milk |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup maple syrup |
1 tsp vanilla extract |
2 tbsp orange juice |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/2 tsp allspice |
1/2 tsp nutmeg |
1/2 cup pecans |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees 2. Place bread in a baking pan. Bake 12 minutes or until lightly toasted. 3. Place bread in an even layer in 2 1/2 quart baking dish. 4. In a large bowl combine eggs, milk, sugar 1/4 cup syrup, vanilla, orange juice, cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and pecans. Gently pour mix over bread. 5. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, until egg is set. Insert a toothpick to check doneness. Toothpick should come out clean. 6. Drizzle remaining syrup over pudding just before serving. |
