From Vermont agriculture bureau for a quick, sinful sweet pie Ingredients:
3/4 cup pure maple syrup |
3 eggs separated |
1 cup choped walnuts |
chocolate cookie crumb pie shell |
dash salt |
2 cups whiped topping |
2 tbs shaved chocloate |
Directions:
1. Beat yolks bright yellow in color. 2. Add maple syrup and salt. 3. Cook in double boiler till mixtures thicken 4. Cool 5. Beat whites stiff. 6. Fold into cooled mixture with 2/3rds of whipped topping together. 7. Pour into shell. 8. Cover with remaining topping 9. Sprinkle with chocolate 10. Freeze at least 4 hours |
