Canadian bacon is a good option for breakfast meat, as it has less fat than regular bacon or sausage. Can be prepared in 45 minutes or less. Ingredients:
1 1/2 tablespoons dijon mustard |
2 teaspoons pure maple syrup |
cayenne to taste |
3/4 pound thinly sliced canadian bacon (about 18 slices) |
Directions:
1. Preheat broiler. 2. In a small bowl stir together mustard, syrup, and cayenne. Arrange bacon slices in one layer on rack of a broiler pan or in a jelly-roll pan and brush 1 side of each bacon slice generously with glaze. Broil bacon about 4 inches from heat 3 minutes.
