These sound really yummy. I originally found this recipe in a booklet of ideas for using maple syrup. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1/4 cup butter, softened |
1 egg |
3/4 cup pure maple syrup |
1/4 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Stir together the dry ingredients. 3. Add butter and blend well. 4. Add egg, maple syrup and milk. 5. Stir until well blended (do not over beat). 6. Fill greased muffin tins about 1/2 full. 7. Bake for 20-25 minutes. |
