I can't remember where I got this recipe but it is a nice change from a regular fried pork chop. I serve it with St Paul's Rice or even my own fried rice recipe as the sauce seems similar to some Asian flavors. Ingredients:
4 pork chops, 3/4 inch thick bone in |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon coarse black pepper |
1 1/2 cups maple syrup |
4 tablespoons light brown sugar |
4 tablespoons ketchup |
4 tablespoons prepared mustard |
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce |
Directions:
1. Sprinkle both sides of chops with salt and pepper. 2. Broil 4-6 inches from heat 5 minutes on each side. 3. Mix remaining glaze ingredients and reserve half for table. 4. Brush with glaze. 5. Broil additional 4 minutes on each side, brushing with glaze often. 6. Let rest a few minutes before serving. |
