My son in Vermont sent me this recipe. He says use the best maple syrup you can get (no fakes). Ingredients:
3 (15 ounce) cans white pearl onions, drained |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup pure maple syrup |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in large skillet. Add syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring; boil 5 minutes. Turn heat to low and add onions and lemon juice. Simmer about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until onions are glazed. |
