MAPLE GLAZED CARROTS This recipe comes from my personal collection. These carrots are always on my table at Easter and Christmas. Tried and true and loved by all. Enjoy.
Ingredients:
1 pound baby carrots
1 teaspoon butter
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Directions:
1. Place carrots in a saucepan then add enough water to barely cover them.
2. Bring to a boil then reduce heat, cover and simmer until tender.
3. Melt butter in a saucepan then stir in lemon juice and maple syrup.
4. Simmer for 3 minutes then add carrots and simmer 3 minutes more.
5. Add salt and pepper just before serving.
