There is nothing any better than maple syrup used in the veggies, this recipe with carrots is super delicious!! Ingredients:
1 lb fresh whole carrot |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup pure maple syrup |
1/2 teaspoon coarse salt |
Directions:
1. In a medium-sized saucepan bring approximately 2 cups of water to a boil. Add carrots and cook until tender, approximately 7-10 minutes (depending on the size). 2. Drain water; add butter, maple syrup and salt. 3. Bring to a boil, then simmer 5-6 minutes, until caramelized (carrots coated in caramel). |
