Easy and pretty way to cook carrots. My 3 sons love this and it is now on our Thaksgiving table each year. Sweet and buttery ... two of my favorite words describe these babies! Ingredients:
3 pounds baby carrots |
1/2 cup unsalted butter |
3/4 cup maple syrup |
4 tablespoons orange juice |
1-1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1 teaspoon ground allspice |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until the carrots are tender and the sauce becomes a shiny glaze, about 15 minutes. |
