Different and delicious savory and slightly sweet gravy that goes great with turkey or ham. Super easy and fast to prepare. Serve it in addition to your regular Thanksgiving gravy for those who are willing to try something new! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
2 tablespoons flour |
1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1 cup chicken broth |
1/4 cup maple syrup |
1 tablespoon whole grain dijon mustard |
Directions:
1. Melt butter over medium heat and cook onion, stirring occasionally, 4 minutes or until tender. 2. Stir in flour, seasoned salt and garlic salt; cook, stirring frequently, 1 minute. With a wire whisk, stir in 1/2 cup broth until thickened. 3. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes or until thickened. |
