Maple Cream Sauce with Apple |

Prepare this recipe to dress up your favorite maple syrup. Serve over pound cake, or with waffles or pancakes. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter |
1 1/2 cups sliced peeled fuji apple (about 1/2 pound) |
3/4 cup maple syrup |
1 tablespoon whipping cream |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add apple to pan; sauté 10 minutes or until tender. Stir in syrup; cook 2 minutes or until mixture bubbles. Remove from heat; stir in cream and cinnamon. |
