My mother insists I bring this simple cranberry sauce every Thanksgiving. Maple syrup adds a pleasant sweetness people don't expect.—:Mathilda Navias, Tiffin, Ohio
Ingredients:
1 package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries
1-1/2 cups maple syrup
1/3 cup water
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Yield: 2-1/2 cups.
