My mother insists I bring this simple cranberry sauce every Thanksgiving. Maple syrup adds a pleasant sweetness people don't expect.:Mathilda Navias, Tiffin, Ohio Ingredients:
1 package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries |
1-1/2 cups maple syrup |
1/3 cup water |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. Yield: 2-1/2 cups. |
