1/4 cup cornmeal |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 egg |
3/4 cup milk |
1/2 cup maple syrup |
3 tablespoons vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt. 2. In another bowl, beat egg; add milk, syrup and oil. 3. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. 4. Pour into a greased 9-in.square baking pan. 5. Bake at 400 for 20-22 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. 6. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes. 7. Cut into squares. 8. Serve warm. |
