have not tried this recipe myself...a friend gave it to me.. Ingredients:
1/2 cup crisco |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup brown sugar, packed |
2 large eggs, lightly beaten |
1 cup sour cream |
1 tablespoon maple flavoring |
2 3/4 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup chopped nuts |
1/2 cup butter |
2 cups powdered sugar |
3 tablespoons hot water |
2 teaspoons maple flavoring |
Directions:
1. combine crisco, sugar and eggs thoroughly stir in sour cream and maple extract. 2. in seperate bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt.blend into sugar mixture - stir in nuts and drop by rounded tblsful 2 apart on greased sheet - 3. bake at 375* for 10 minutes or not imprint when lightly touched. 4. cool throughly on wire rack. 5. to prepare GLAZE:. 6. heat butter till golden.do not burn - mix in powdered sugar and flavoring.stir in water gradually until icing is smooth. |
