Maple Cherry Sauce for Grilled Meats |

A different and tasty way to serve grilled meat! Especially good on grilled chicken or pork. Ingredients:
1/3 cup water |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1 cup frozen unsweetened tart red cherries, thawed and drained |
1 teaspoon fresh grated orange peel |
3/4 cup maple syrup (imitation will work) |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Combine water and cornstarch in a medium saucepan, mix well. 2. Cook over medium heat until thickened. 3. Add the cherries, orange peel, syrup, and walnuts. 4. Cook, stirring often, over low heat until it is hot. 5. Serve warm over grilled meat of your choice. |
