Here's a different type of brownie to make that uses maple syrup to flavor the brownie. Its a fairly easy recipe and such a nice change from the usual chocolate brownie. Ingredients:
1 cup pure maple syrup |
2 eggs |
1 cup butter (no substitutes) |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 cup finely chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Grease and flour a 13x9 pan. 3. Cream together butter and brown sugar. 4. Beat in eggs until well mixed. 5. Then beat in the maple syrup until blended. 6. Beat in flour and baking powder. 7. Mix in chopped walnuts. 8. Spread batter evenly in pan. 9. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min 10. Cool and cut into squares. 11. These make a great dessert if you serve them warm with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream over them. |
