This recipe came from InStyle Magazine Nov 2007 issue. I made it with mixed organic greens as my family's Thanksgiving Dinner salad...everyone loved it! The salad didn't need anything other than the dressing and greens...it was perfect and simple! Ingredients:
1 large shallot, minced |
1/2 cup maple syrup |
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar |
1/2 cup olive oil |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Mix shallots together with the maple syrup and balsamic vinegar. 2. Add the olive oil in a thin stream, whisking until dressing has emulsified. 3. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 4. Serve over mixed organic greens. |
