This fall bounty includes apples, walnuts (I like pecans), and maple syrup. All three come together in this super-fragrant dessert. Ingredients:
4 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into halves |
1 1/2 c. flour |
1/4 c. sugar |
4 tbsp cinnamon |
1 1/2 c. maple syrup |
1 c. walnuts (i use pecans) |
Directions:
1. Combine the flour, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl. 2. Roll the apple halves in mixture until well coated. 3. Place apples in a 9x13 pan. 4. Pour syrup over the apples, and top with walnuts. 5. Bake at 325 for 25 - 30 minutes. 6. Top with ice cream and serve warm. |
