Maple-Almond Granola (Cooking Light) |

Comes from Cooking Light, with some modifications. Ingredients:
4 cups oats |
1/4 cup sliced almonds |
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup water |
1/3 cup honey |
1/3 cup maple syrup |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
2 tablespoons canola oil |
1 cup dried cherries |
1 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325. 2. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl. 3. Combine water, honey, syrup, sugar and oil in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. (Careful this will boil quickly!). 4. Pour over oat mixture; toss to coat. Spread oat mixtrue on a jelly roll pan coated with cooking spray. 5. Bake at 325 for 35 minutes or until golden, stirring every 10 minutes. 6. Stir in cherries and raisins. Allow to cool on the pan. 7. Store in an airtight container for up to a week. |
