MMM, MMM, good!! What else can I say? A personal recipe Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground chuck |
1/2 lb ground pork |
2 cups diced onions |
2 large eggs |
1/4 cup sour cream |
2 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce |
1/4 cup ketchup |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1/2 cup minced italian parsley |
2 cups soft white bread cubes |
3 slices bacon |
Directions:
1. In large bowl mix together: meats, onions, herbs and spices and soy sauce. 2. In another bowl, whisk eggs and sour cream; mix in meat mixture. 3. Mix in bread cubes. 4. Place into 10x13 inch dish and gently form into long loaf 4 1/2 to 5 inches wide. 5. Stir together BBQ sauce and ketchup; slather on top of loaf. 6. Lay bacon across top width-wise. 7. Bake about 50 minutes. 8. Remove from oven; cool 5 minutes. 9. Remove from pan and let stand 10 minutes before slicing. 10. Serve with mushroom gravy if desired. |
