I made this, at my husband's request, many, many times after we were first married. He still requests it after 32 years! This recipe came from the back of a mayonnaise jar. Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground beef |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
1 cup cottage cheese |
4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup mayonnaise |
1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce |
1/2 teaspoon oregano |
parmesan cheese, grated |
cooked manicotti |
Directions:
1. Brown beef and garlic; drain. 2. Mix next 4 ingredients; stir in beef. 3. Fill each manicotti with about 1/4 cup of cheese and meat mixture. 4. Place in a baking dish; cover with sauvce. 5. Sprinkle with oregano and parmesan cheese. 6. Cover with foil. 7. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes. 8. Remove foil and bake 10 more minutes. |
