Red Clam Chowder-tomato base Ingredients:
2 ounces bacon |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
13 ounces clams, canned |
3 red potatoes, chopped |
1/3 cup chopped celery |
1 cup water |
2 tsp parsley |
1 tsp thyme |
14 ounces tomatoes, canned |
Directions:
1. Saute bacon and onion. 2. Add clams, liquid, potatoes, celery and water. Boil for 10 minutes. 3. Stir in remaining ingredients (break up tomatoes). 4. Bring to a boil. Serve. |
