Red Clam Chowder-tomato base
Ingredients:
2 ounces bacon
1/4 cup chopped onion
13 ounces clams, canned
3 red potatoes, chopped
1/3 cup chopped celery
1 cup water
2 tsp parsley
1 tsp thyme
14 ounces tomatoes, canned
Directions:
1. Saute bacon and onion.
2. Add clams, liquid, potatoes, celery and water. Boil for 10 minutes.
3. Stir in remaining ingredients (break up tomatoes).
4. Bring to a boil. Serve.
