A simple sorbet made without special equipment. All you need is a freezer storage bag. This is almost more like an ice cream then a sorbet. Ingredients:
3 cups of mango, large dice, frozen in freezer overnight |
1 cup of heavy cream |
1 cup sugar (splenda may be substituted) |
1 cup ice cubes |
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until you have a thick smoothy texture. 2. Pour mixture into a freezer storage bag and place in freezer. 3. Take bag out and knead the bag approx. every 30-40 minutes for the first 2 hours. This will keep the ice crystals small in your sorbet. 4. Let the sorbet set overnight or not les than 10 hours before serving. |
