4 (5 ounce) boneless pork loin chops, cut into strips (3/4 inch thick) |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 (6 1/4 ounce) package quick-cooking long grain and wild rice mix |
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onion |
Directions:
1. Sprinkle pork with pepper and salt. 2. In a large skillet, brown pork in oil. 3. Meanwhile, drain oranges, reserving juice; set oranges aside. 4. Add water, rice mix with contents of seasoning packet, onions and reserved juice to the skillet. 5. Bring to a boil. 6. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. 7. Stir in oranges; heat through. |
