Came up with this trying to make something cheesecake-ish for Bryan's b-day, just using what I had. It was rally yummy, and will definately make this one again. Needs to chill about 4 hours to set. Ingredients:
1 ready made grahm cracker crust or make your own with crushed graham crackers or vanilla wafers and butter |
1 8oz block cream cheese, well-softened |
1 4 oz block cream cheese, well-softened |
3/4 c sugar |
8 oz sour cream |
1 t vanilla |
few drops orange extract |
1 pkg dream whip, made according to directions (uses 1/2 c cold milk) or cool whip |
1 can manadrin oranges, drained well |
2 kiwi, peeled and sliced |
Directions:
1. In electric mixer, cream blocks of cream cheese well. (The longer they have been softening the shorter the creaming time with no lumps) 2. Gradually add in sugar, creaming well 3. Blend in sour cream, vanilla and orange extract 4. Fold in 4 oz of cool whip or dream whip 5. Chill until set 6. Add well drained fruit on top of pie and serve. 7. Top pie slices with remianing whipped topping if desired. |
