Mandarian Orange Poke Cake |

This recipe was sent to me and I looked at it and thought it was familiar. After reading it I realized it was a recipe I made years ago and forgot about it. ( Lost the recipe when moving) Wonderful tasting cake. Ingredients:
1 box white cake mix |
2 small cans of madarin oranges |
1 package vanilla instant pudding |
2 cups milk |
2 tbsp vanilla extract or flavoring |
8 oz whipped topping |
1 sm orange gelatin package |
1 1/2 cups boiling water |
Directions:
1. Directions 2. Mix cake according to manufacturer's directions. 3. Fold in drained mandarin oranges. Bake as directed in 9 x 13 pan. Mix orange gelatin with 1 1/2 cups boiling water. 4. Stir until dissolved. 5. When cake is almost cool, poke holes in the cake top with a large fork and pour gelatin mix over cake. 6. Allow the cake to cool. Refrigerate to speed proccess. While cake cools, mix the vanilla pudding with 2 cups milk according to directions. 7. Add in extra vanilla flavoring and then fold in whipped topping. Spread over cake top. 8. Refrigerate until served. 9. Store extra in refrigerator. |
