Ingredients:
1 cup butter, softened (i use 1 stick oleo and 1 stick butter) |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 egg |
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour |
candied cherries, sliced |
special equipment: cookie press |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. 2. In a large bowl, using either an electric mixer or by hand, cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add egg and then mix in the flour in 3 additions. Fill cookie press with dough and press out cookies into desired shapes onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Place a sliced candied cherry in the center of each cookie. Bake for about 15 minutes.
