I always double or triple the sauce ingredients since my family loves it poured over rice. The recipe listed is the original amounts. Can be done in the oven or crockpot. I also cut the ribs into smaller racks .The weight listed is approximate Ingredients:
4 -5 lbs ribs |
1 beef bouillon cube |
3/4 cup boiling water |
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
2 tablespoons soya sauce |
3/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon curry powder |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
Directions:
1. Simmer ribs slowly for an hour. Drain and transfer to a roasting pan or crockpot. 2. Dissovle beef cube in the boiling water. 3. Stir in cornstarch that has been mixed with the vinegar. 4. Add remaining ingredients. 5. Pour over ribs and cook approx 45 minutes at 350 . Or 4-6 hours on low in crockpot. 6. Serve with rice. |
