A must for any southern meal. Goes great with buttermilk cornbread and chopped green onions. Sometimes I have a bowl as a meal for lunch .Be careful , high source of fiber. Its possible you could make your own whirlpool bath! Read more !!!
Ingredients:
16 oz dried pintos
2oz salt pork or fatback
1 med. onion
4 tbls. tomato ketchup
1tsp. black pepper
salt to taste approx. 1tbls.
Directions:
1. empty beans in crock pot
2. add all ingredients
3. add warm water 2 to 3 inches above ingredients
4. stir and cover
5. cook 6hrs on high setting
6. do not open
