This is my mama's mad meatloaf, and I just couldn't wait to finally share it with everyone. Thanks for trying it. ENJOY! Ingredients:
3 slices stale bread |
3/4 lb ground beef |
1/2 lb ground pork |
1/2 lb ground veal |
lipton onion soup mix |
1 medium onion, chopped |
4 garlic cloves, chopped |
2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped |
1 raw egg |
1 teaspoon salt and pepper |
2 tablespoons dried parsley |
1 teaspoon dried thyme |
1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional) |
1 cup ketchup, divided |
Directions:
1. Soak bread in milk, drain and crumble. 2. In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients but only 1/2 cup ketchup. 3. Shape into meatloaf, place in a 9x13-inch pan, spread the rest of the ketchup on top, dome with foil and bake for 1 1/2 hours. 4. Serving Suggestions: Cook about 1 pound of new potatoes with meatloaf, mashed potatoes, meatloaf sandwiches, corn on the cob, corn bread, mac n' cheese. |
