This recipe goes with Corn Bread Dressing Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups yellow cornmeal |
1/4 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 cup 1% low-fat buttermilk |
1 cup water |
1 large egg |
1 large egg white |
cooking spray |
3 tablespoons vegetable oil |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°. 2. Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; stir well. Coat a 9-inch cast-iron skillet with cooking spray; add the oil, and place in oven for 5 minutes. Remove from oven; stir oil into batter. Pour batter into pan. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes or until golden. |
