I love my mommys chili!!! Hope you enjoy too. Ingredients:
1 -1 1/2 ground turkey breast |
1/2 green pepper |
1/2 diced onion |
1 tablespoon parsley |
1 tablespoon basil |
1 tablespoon oregano |
1 teaspoon garlic salt |
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth |
2 cups tomato juice |
5 -6 tablespoons chili powder |
12 pickled jalapeno peppers |
4 -5 tablespoons pickled jalapeno pepper juice |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
2 (15 ounce) cans light kidney beans |
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey, green pepper, onion, parsley, basil, oregano. 2. In a crockpot ad crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, tomato 3. juice, kidney beans, salt, pepper, jalepenos, jalepeno juice. 4. Add browned ground turkey mixture. 5. Let simmer for 4-6 hours. 6. Serve with sour cream and cheese (if desired). |
