Pour this warming treat into a heated vacuum bottle to take to the rink. Whipped cream and crushed chocolate-covered malt balls would make it even more special. Quality chocolate (such as Lindt) gives the creamiest texture. Ingredients:
8 cups milk |
1/4 cup granulated sugar |
1/3 cup chocolate malt powder (such as ovaltine) |
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped |
Directions:
1. In saucepan, bring milk with sugar just to boil over medium-high heat, stirring often. 2. Remove from heat. 3. Whisk in malt powder and chopped chocolate until smooth. 4. (Make-ahead: Let cool. Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat.). |
