From Fall, Family & Friends Cookbook, c. 2006. PLAN AHEAD TO MAKE THIS BREAKFAST CASSEROLE - YOU HAVE TO LET IT SIT OVERNIGHT IN REFRIGERATOR! Ingredients:
1 lb ground pork sausage, browned and drained |
6 slices bread, torn |
1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chilies |
1 (8 ounce) package shredded cheddar cheese |
6 eggs |
1 cup milk |
salt, to taste |
pepper, to taste |
Directions:
1. Mix together sausage, bread, chilies and cheese in a large bowl; set aside. Blend together eggs, milk, salt and pepper; stir into sausage mixture. Pour into a greased 13 x9 baking pan; cover and refrigerate overnight. Uncover and bake at 350* for 50 minutes. |
