This is a wonderful side dish that can dress up a dinner table. It is simple and complements almost any meat you choose.
Ingredients:
1 can (1 lb. ) cream style corn
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 cup salted cracker crumbs
1 cup milk
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. grated onion
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper, ( optional )
1 small jar pimento, (optional )
1/4 cup margarine, melted
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Slightly butter the bottom and sides of an 8 by 8 baking dish, set aside.
3. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl, except the margarine.
4. Dot the top of the souffle with the melted margarine, and bake for one hour.
