This is a wonderful side dish that can dress up a dinner table. It is simple and complements almost any meat you choose. Ingredients:
1 can (1 lb. ) cream style corn |
3 eggs, slightly beaten |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/4 tsp. black pepper |
1 cup salted cracker crumbs |
1 cup milk |
1/4 tsp. dry mustard |
1 tsp. grated onion |
1 tsp. sugar |
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper, ( optional ) |
1 small jar pimento, (optional ) |
1/4 cup margarine, melted |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Slightly butter the bottom and sides of an 8 by 8 baking dish, set aside. 3. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl, except the margarine. 4. Dot the top of the souffle with the melted margarine, and bake for one hour. |
