interesting title, but this sounds like it would be a good recipe for thanksgiving. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine, melted |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 cup sugar |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup milk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
3 cups canned pumpkin |
1 cup evaporated milk |
2 eggs |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup packed brown sugar |
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/4 teaspoon clove |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine |
2 tablespoons sugar |
Directions:
1. pour butter or margarine in a 13 inch x 9 inch x 2 inch baking dish. 2. set aside. 3. in a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. 4. stir in milk and vanilla until smooth. 5. pour into the prepared pan. 6. in a mixing bowl, beat the pumpkin, milk and eggs. 7. combine the remaining filling iingredients. 8. add to pumpkin mixture. 9. pour over crust mixture. ( do not stir). 10. dot with butter or margarine and sprinkle with sugar. 11. bake at 350 degrees, for 55-60 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center, comes out clean and the top is golden brown. |
