This is my version of a restaurant dish we had years ago. I never have any leftovers on this one. Ingredients:
1 pound mushrooms (cremini are nice), sliced |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 cloves garlic, minced |
1/2 cup madeira wine |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in large skillet over medium heat. 2. Add mushrooms and saute until mushrooms are tender and have given offf their liquid, about 5-7 minutes. 3. Add garlic and cook 2 more minutes. 4. Add Madeira and cook for about 2 more minues. 5. Add rosemary and cream and warm through. Do not bring to a boil. 6. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately. |
