This is the perfect addition to any sweet tray; it's especially ideal for those (like me) who love lemon. The addition of nuts adds that extra je ne sais quoi. Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats 1 cup flour |
1/2 cup flaked coconut (fine) |
1/2 cup nuts, coarsely chopped |
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1 tsp. baking powder |
1/2 cup butter, melted |
preheat oven to 325 degrees f. combine above ingredients; stir to form a crumbly mixture. set aside. |
Directions:
1. 1 can eagle brand milk 2. 1/2 cup lemon juice 3. In another bowl, combine milk and lemon juice. Press 1/2 crumb mixture in a 9 x 9 pan. Pour in milk mixture and sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until lightly browned. Cool thoroughly before cutting. Freezes well. |
