Light delicious and so so simple. I got this recipe from an old cook book Ingredients:
3 egg whites |
1 cup sugar |
1/2 lb finely chopped almonds |
10 drops almond extract |
1 tablespoon melted shortening |
Directions:
1. Beat egg whites, add sugar gradually and beat constantly. 2. Add almonds, flavoring, and shortening mix well. 3. Drop by teaspoons on a wax paper lined baking sheet. 4. Bake in slow oven (275 degrees F) For 30-40 minutes. |
