Serve with curries, plain cooked chicken, or lemon baked fish Ingredients:
1 cup long grain white rice |
2 cups water |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup dried coconut |
Directions:
1. In a 2-quart pot bring the water and salt to a boil. 2. Stir in the dry rice, cinnamon, and the coconut. Stir and return the water to a boil. 3. Reduce the heat to the lowest possible flame. Place the lid on the pot and simmer for 20 minutes. Do not peek while the rice is cooking. |
