Northern Germany is big on fish! This is a delicious spread that goes well on toasted bread as a starter, and it's so easy! Ingredients:
1 pound smoked mackerel |
4 ounces cream cheese |
1/2 cup softened butter |
1 lemon, juiced |
Directions:
1. Remove any skin and bones from the mackerel, and place into the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until no large pieces remain. Add the cream cheese, butter, and lemon juice; process until smooth. Place into a small serving bowl, and refrigerate until firmed, about 2 hours. |
