makes a small batch - love macintosh Ingredients:
3 lbs macintosh apples, peeled and sliced |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
1 cup water |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1 pinch cinnamon |
Directions:
1. 1.) Mix all ingredients together and bring to boiling over medium-high heat. 2. 2.) Turn heat down and simmer for 20 minutes, crush apples into smaller pieces while cooking and stirring. 3. 3. Pour into prepared jars ( jars and lids in boiling water) then process 20 minutes. -follow usual canning directions! |
