I found this recipe in a Women,s Institute Cookbook. I thought it was different with no mayonnaise and tried it .It was good and a change. Ingredients:
1 cup uncooked macaroni |
1 (213 g) can salmon or 1 (213 g) can shrimp |
1 1/2 cups frozen peas |
onion, to taste |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1/2 cup white sugar |
1/2 cup salad oil |
salt |
1 teaspoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Cook macaroni and add salmon, peas that have been cooked, and onion. 2. Make a dressing of ketchup, sugar, oil, salt and lemon juice, mix well. 3. Then add to macaroni and chill for 2 hours. |
