Macaroni Grill's Sesame Shrimp |

Sauteed shrimp and vegetables flavored with toasted sesame seeds, soy sauce, and white wine. Serve over cooked pasta or rice. It truely is a delicious and easy meal. Found in the book America's Most Wanted Recipes by Ron Douglas. (I did add garlic in the recipe because DH and I love garlic and with the shrimp it added a little more flavor). Ingredients:
1/4 cup carrot, diced |
1/4 cup onion, diced |
1/4 cup celery, diced |
1/2 cup mushroom, diced |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
6 large shrimp, peeled and deveined |
1 teaspoon sesame seeds, toasted |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1 tablespoon white wine |
Directions:
1. Saute the carrot, onion, celery, garlic and mushrooms in the oil over medium heat until soft. 2. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, until pink and opaque. Don't over cook. 3. Add the sesame seeds, soy sauce, and the white wine. 4. Stir to combine, then serve. |
