Another recipe my mom has made forever. One of my favorite comfort foods. Ingredients:
2 cups macaroni noodles, cooked |
2 cups american cheese, shredded |
1/2 quart stewed tomatoes |
1 teaspoon cornstarch |
3/4 cup milk |
salt and pepper |
1 teaspoon dry onion flakes |
3 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Dissolve cornstarch in milk in a mixing bowl. 2. Add noodles, cheese, tomatoes and onion flakes. 3. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 4. Transfer to mixture into a greased baking pan. 5. Slice the butter into pats. 6. Cover the top of the macaroni mixture with the butter pats. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for a half and hour, uncovered. 8. Let sit 10 minutes. 9. Serve and enjoy. |
