This is a replica of my grandma's recipe only tweaked a little since she didn't leave us an actual recipe. It's sorta a pudding/custard type dessert. Not too sweet and very creamy. It took me a few times to perfect it, but I am sure you will enjoy this Italian homemade specialty. Serve warm or cold. Ingredients:
2 cups spaghetti |
6 eggs |
2 cups whole milk |
1 cup cream (i used vanilla carmel creamer) |
1 cup sugar |
2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
4 teaspoons butter (place on top on dessert prior to baking) |
Directions:
1. Cook the macaroni aldente and drain. 2. Wisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a large bowl. 3. Add cooked and drained macaroni. 4. Pour into rectangle baking pan. 5. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. |
