Okay...remember the mac and beef dish we all had as kids? This is the crockpot version and it's well worth trying. Put on before leaving for the ball field or where ever you gotta run on a week night, get home and it's ready! Read more ! Great for Moms on the run, I depended on these type of recipes when my kids were home. It's ready in 3-4 hours Ingredients:
1 1/2 pound lean ground beef |
2 cups uncooked macaroni |
2 cans (10.5 oz. each) condensed tomato soup |
1 cup (16 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained |
1/2 medium onion, chopped |
1 can (4 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained |
salt |
pepper |
cheese (if desired) |
Directions:
1. In skillet, brown ground beef; drain well. Put in crock-pot. 2. Cook macaroni according to package direction until BARELY tender 3. Drain well. 4. Add macaroni and remaining ingredients to crock. 5. Stir just enough to blend 6. Cover and cook on high 3-4 hours 7. (This can be put on in the morning for dinner, you would cook it for 7-9 hours on low) 8. My kids liked to throw cheese on top of theirs too... |
